When you are traveling to Cleveland, there are so many things to see and do. Cleveland is full of amazing attractions. But when you are just going for the weekend, there are some things that you must do.

West Side Market – This market is not only a great sight to see, with all of the different vendors selling a variety of products, but is also a great way to do some shopping. You can purchase a great number of fresh fruits and vegetables along with many other baked goods, flowers, cheese, candy, sauces, and much more. There are not many like it left in the United States.

USS Cod Submarine Memorial – Visiting this submarine is a great way to get a look at the inside of a submarine and how they work. It is the last of the submarine fleet that was used in WWII and has not been altered. You will enter and exit by using the original ladders and hatches. This is a great piece of history to see.

Christmas Story House – Whether you’ve seen the movie or not, this is a great attraction to see. This house is the setting for the movie A Christmas Story. It has been restored to its original setting of the movie featuring all of the props and even rare behind the scene photos from the making of the movie. The information doesn’t stop now. Keep looking: Bangor Fleet and Family Sponsor Submarine Simulator Tour

Since the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation formed in 1983, hundreds of artists and bands have been inducted. The first official ceremony was held in 1986, inducting the likes of Chuck Berry, Ray Charles and James Brown. It was nine years later that a physical home for a Hall of Fame Museum was opened on the shores of Lake Erie in Cleveland, Ohio.

The museum was opened to both celebrate the legends inducted into the Hall of Fame as well as to educate the fans on the historical importance of the rock and roll genre. The original plan was to open a museum in New York, where the foundation was originally formed, with other possible sites in Philadelphia, Memphis, Chicago or New Orleans. A delegation from the foundation toured all the potential sites and finally settled on Cleveland as the ideal site. A poll taken by USA Today also showed that the popular choice with the general public was also Cleveland.

The museum showcases an extensive collection of memorabilia from the world of rock and roll. Instruments and personal effects associated with the legends of the music genre are on display in various exhibitions celebrating the long and lauded history of rock.

Cleveland has an amazing variety of cuisines and one can go on a trip around the world by just visiting a few of our amazing eateries. Traditional Cleveland food is at its best at Sokowskis University in where you can sample homemade perogies and chicken paprikash. If you are a foodie then be sure to stop at Lola Bistro, the restaurant of Michael Simon. Here you will be amazed by the innovative menu that does a great job at using local grown and produced items. Another great eatery is Touch Supper Club located in historical Ohio City. Touch has an intimate lounge vibe with amazing takes on comfort foods such as grilled cheese sandwiches. No gastronomical tour of Cleveland would be complete without a trip to Panini-s for an amazing sandwich stacked high with corned beef, coleslaw and topping it off with a fried egg. If you are in the mood for something a bit more exotic then travel to the Euclid corridor and have a bowl of Raman at Noodle Cat. Noodle cat supplies us with traditional Japanese soups done in novel new ways. Regardless of what you have a taste for you will find it here in Cleveland.
